
Mentorship Program: May – June 2025
Our Women’s Urban Leadership in Utility WASH (WULUW) Program is offering a free 6-week virtual mentorship opportunity for young women looking to acquire leadership roles in the urban, water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) sector. As a mentee, you will gain access to women leaders in WASH while improving your professional soft skills.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Be a female between the ages of 18 to 29.
- Reside in South Africa
- Submit a formal (written) request to ROCKBlue to attend the mentorship program
- Hold a recent degree in WASH, preferably in Civil Engineering
- Commit to attending 10 (1-hour) mentoring sessions conducted by ROCKBlue
- Have a proven strong internet connection
- Complete evaluation surveys at the conclusion of mentorship sessions
Internship Program: July 2025 – July 2026
Successful WULUW mentorship applicants may be selected for the WULUW Internship, provided they meet the same criteria above. This internship will empower young women by providing mentorship, skills, and work experience to launch careers in WASH, benefiting their growth and the broader community.
Program Structure:
- Includes at least two mentees in this 12-month pilot program (July 2025 – July 2026)
- Focus on technical and career skills at a municipality in South Africa
- Each mentee will be paired with a mentor for ongoing support, guidance, and advice
- ROCKBlue will provide a monthly stipend to cover expenses.

- The registration window closes on April, 30th, 2025
