Our long-term collaborations with African water and sanitation utilities began in 2016.
Today, the Africa team works with utilities across the continent to strengthen their performance and capacity, helping them deliver better and more sustainable services to the communities they serve.
These partnerships are formalized and combine practical utility experience, technical support, leadership development, and ongoing collaboration.

Part of the Wider ROCKBlue Team ROCKBlue Partners Africa works in close collaboration with ROCKBlue, a legally separate US nonprofit organization. Together, the two organizations support the wider ROCKBlue mission of strengthening water and sanitation utilities and expanding sustainable access to services. RBPA leads the Africa team, delivers programmes and consultancy services across Africa, and manages the associated African operations. ROCKBlue provides international fundraising, grant administration, programmatic support, and other resources. The two organizations work together under a formal framework. They have no ownership relationship and do not constitute a legal partnership or joint venture. Two legal entities. One collaborative team.

Our Commitment to African Utilities
Our approach is built on long-term collaboration rather than short-term intervention. Since 2016, our team has worked alongside public water and sanitation utilities to understand their challenges, strengthen their capabilities, and support practical improvements that can be sustained over time.
Today, utilities supported through these partnerships collectively serve more than 22 million people.

ROCKBlue Partners Africa NPC is a separately registered South African nonprofit organization. RBPA maintains its own South African legal identity and operates as a substantive nonprofit organization supporting programmes and operations across Africa.

ROCKBlue Partners Africa NPC is a separately registered South African nonprofit company (Reg. 2018/574188/08; NPO 223-111; PBO 930065474). The two organizations are legally separate and work together under a formal Memorandum of Understanding. Neither owns the other, nor do they form a legal partnership or joint venture.
