Over two billion people still lack access to safe drinking water, and nearly half the world does not have adequate sanitation. These are not short-term challenges, but they are solvable with the right focus, the right partnerships, and sustained effort inside utilities.
ROCKBlue was founded on a simple belief: lasting change happens when utilities themselves are strengthened. In 2025, that approach continues to guide our work across Africa, where we partner directly with water service providers to improve performance, strengthen leadership, and deliver measurable results.
Our model remains practical and cost-effective. By embedding experienced utility professionals and focusing on real operational challenges, we help utilities build the systems, discipline, and capacity needed to become more resilient and self-reliant over time.
The 2025 Annual Report reflects this continued progress and highlights how our work is translating into stronger utility performance and expanded service delivery.
Inside the report, you will find:
- Utility Partnership Division
Our core platform for impact, working alongside utilities to strengthen operations, governance, and financial performance. In 2025, this work continues to support utilities serving millions of urban residents, with ongoing improvements in key performance indicators and service delivery outcomes. - Access to Capital, Oversight and Reporting Nexus (ACORN)
ACORN continues to support utilities in strengthening financial management and investment readiness. Building on earlier success, the focus remains on improving financial oversight, reducing inefficiencies such as non-revenue water, and positioning utilities to access and manage capital more effectively. - Women’s Urban Leadership in Utility WASH (WULUW)
WULUW continues to invest in the next generation of female leaders in the sector. Through structured mentorship and leadership development, women across African utilities are building the confidence, skills, and networks needed to take on greater responsibility and influence. - Performance Achievement Workshop Series (PAWS)
PAWS remains a key driver of accountability and performance. By bringing utility leaders together in focused sessions, the programme supports goal setting, peer learning, and practical problem-solving aligned to real operational targets. - ROCKBlue Consultancy
Our consultancy work complements our core programmes, allowing us to support a broader network of organisations working toward improved water and sanitation outcomes, while reinforcing our practitioner-led approach.
